ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Chemistry plays a vital role in everyone's lives and touches almost every aspect of our existence in some way. Chemistry is essential for meeting our basic needs. Chemistry is also important because everything you do is chemistry! Even our body is made of chemicals.
Acquiring a degree in Chemistry opens a multitude of doors for a variety of educational or professional opportunities. From chemical engineer to lecturer to pharmacologist to chemist, career opportunities are vast. Most of the students have been well placed either in Industries or Educational fields or as Entrepreneurs. There are some nice words that “a Chemist never stays unemployed”.
The Department of Chemistry, St. Bede’s College Shimla has a three-year Bachelor’s program. The medium of instruction is English.
Department of Chemistry has qualified and experienced teachers, a well-equipped laboratory.
