ELECTION COMMITTEE

The Election Committee is responsible for organizing and conducting apolitical elections in the college to elect the student council. The council is elected democratically through ballot voting system. Due to Covid-19 lockdown, the council for the session 2020-2021 was elected through online voting on MS Teams.

PROCEDURE:

Nominations are called for the various posts for elections.
As per the election criteria of academic performance/participation in curricular activities and over all good conduct, the nominations are accepted.
The students are given two days for campaigning digitally and physically.
A minimum of 75% of attendance is mandatory to stand for various posts.
If a student fails or has compartment in the University Examination then she is not eligible to contest the elections.

Members of the election committee checks voter eligibility, manages the electoral roll and is responsible for voter communication. The committee authenticates the eligibility of voters and monitors the voting process closely to ensure nobody votes twice. The committee is also responsible for compiling the electoral results. The results of the election are announced by the Principal.
