CANCELLATION POLICY

St. Bede's College, Shimla is committed to providing a transparent and fair admission and fee payment process. This Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which admission applications, fee payments, and other services may be cancelled.

1. Admission Cancellation

Students who wish to cancel their admission must submit a written application to the Principal through the Admission Office. The cancellation request should include:

  • Student's Full Name
  • Application/Enrollment Number
  • Course/Programme
  • Reason for Cancellation
  • Contact Details
  • Bank Account Details (if applicable for refund)

The admission shall be considered cancelled only after approval by the College authorities.

2. Fee Cancellation

Fee paid towards admission may be eligible for cancellation and refund only as per the Fee Refund Policy of the College and the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India.

Processing charges, if applicable, shall be deducted from the refundable amount.

3. Online Payment Cancellation

If an online payment is made more than once due to a technical issue or transaction failure, the student should immediately contact the College Accounts Office with:

  • Transaction ID
  • Payment Date
  • Amount Paid
  • Bank Reference Number
  • Screenshot or Payment Receipt

After verification, the excess amount, if any, will be refunded to the original payment source.

4. Non-Cancellable Payments

The following payments are generally non-cancellable unless otherwise approved by the College:

  • Application Fee
  • Prospectus Fee
  • Examination Fee
  • Registration Fee
  • Late Fee
  • Convocation Fee
  • Certificate Processing Fee
  • Any other non-refundable charges as notified by the College.

5. Refund after Cancellation

If the cancellation request is approved, refunds (where applicable) shall be processed according to the College Fee Refund Policy.

Refunds will normally be credited to the original payment method or the bank account provided by the student after successful verification.

6. Cancellation Due to Incorrect Information

The College reserves the right to cancel any admission or application if:

  • False or misleading information has been provided.
  • Required documents are found to be invalid.
  • Eligibility criteria are not fulfilled.
  • Any fraudulent activity is detected.

In such cases, refund eligibility shall be determined according to College and UGC rules.

7. Processing Time

Cancellation requests are normally processed within 7–15 working days after receiving all required documents and approvals.

Any eligible refund shall be processed within the timeline specified in the College Fee Refund Policy.

9. Changes to this Policy

St. Bede's College reserves the right to amend or update this Cancellation Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be published on the official College website and shall become effective immediately upon publication.
